As part of our continuing efforts to provide the best protection for our participants, this App 5.1 update provides the same enhanced multi-factor authentication as our website. On initial log in, the multi-factor authentication uses the same email address and phone number as your website account to provide you with a verification PIN. Once the authentication is completed successfully, you can request the app to “remember” you and enable facial recognition for expedited logon thereafter.
The latest update also includes various user experience improvements and minor bug fixes.

However, the multifactor authentication is dependent upon the device ID held in the device. The device ID can change when the user resets device, keychain cleared/lost, or upgrades the iOS/Android version. This will require the user to re-register their device. At that time, the user can also remove the prior device entry as it will no longer be needed. Otherwise, once the device is registered, the registration is good for the App until de-authorized by the user.
